June is coming to a close and hopefully the hectic pace that comes with it as well. July is just around the corner.....for many it means holiday time, vacation time and hopefully some "Just for Me" time too.  Now is the perfect moment to choose that special "Just for Me" project to take along to the beach, cottage or your favorite lawn chair on your back deck. So whatever you are planning and wherever you are going this month, don't forget to squeeze in some "Just for Me" knitting time!

June is here, life is hectic, there is sooo much to do! All the more reason to kick back and spend some quality time knitting something special just for you! Have you started thinking about Christmas gifts yet? If you're a knitter you probably have your list all ready and even started shopping for supplies. This year we urge you to place a very special name at the top of the list...YOURS and make something special "Just for You"  That's what this KAL is all about  Our mission is to remind all the selfless knitters out there to take some time and knit for yourselves!

Well at the end of week #4 of the Knit-Along....let's see how everyone is doing? Shannon and Wendy have had a couple of setbacks but things are settling down and hopefully will see some progress on their projects soon  Dani and Janet  have finished their gorgeous bags. You can see their pics in the FO's album in the PHOTOS section.  Amanda is nearly finished her makeup bag which she designed herself...way to go, Amanda. Penny has also finished her beautiful poncho and Sophie has also completed her fabulous scarf. Dorothea has decided on her project after an extensive search for "Just the Right" pattern. She'll be knitting the Lara sweater from Debbie Bliss. Karyn is making good progress on her scarf. Jane and Nana Sadie Rose have both finished their Aibhlinn cowls. Laura has 1/3 done on her Soleil tank. WEEK #3 IN PICTURES

Here's Penny wearing her "Just for Me" Poncho and looking simply fabulous! Penny is one of the fastest knitters I know....I wish her "Flying Fingers" syndrome was contagious  'cause I'm on my "umpteenth" start on my KAL project and still only have 6 rows done  

Leah will be knitting up this scrumptious yarn after she finishes a couple of projects already in progress....now there's a woman with great will power  How could anyone resist yarn like this?! Check out her BLOG for more info about her KAL project and other stuff

Week #2 and Gaining Momentum! 

The word is out!! 

Knitters from around the globe are joining every day and starting their "Just for Me" projects.

Shannon and I are delighted to be hosting the knit-along and we hope that everyone will have a terrific time!   We'll be contacting members on a weekly basis to see how you are progressing on your chosen projects and offering support and encouragement. You can reach us anytime through email or the forum. The forum is also a terrific place to share your thoughts and stories, ask questions, get help with pattern problems or just get to know each other. Pictures of your knitting or your mug shot can be shared in the photo section (Shannon and I have already added ours   .......that's enough talk for now 'cause....Today is "THE" day!
